Greg Monforton and Partners law firm was formed in Windsor, Ontario in 1981. This innovative firm was dedicated
to providing affordable legal services to people who traditionally had little or no access to lawyers. Since
then, the firm has helped thousands of individuals and families protect their legal rights.
Until 1987 lawyers in Ontario were prohibited from advertising. They could not even publish their fees or information
about important legal rights. Mr. Monforton recognized the unfairness of this situation, and when the Law Society
of Upper Canada agreed to lift advertising restrictions, Greg Monforton and Partners became the first law firm
in Ontario to advertise its services on television.
The Financial Post, The Windsor Star, The Mississauga News and Law Times have
all featured Mr. Monforton in stories about his fight for the rights of innocent accident victims.
Mr. Monforton is author of You
& the Law, a newspaper legal advice column which has appeared regularly over the past 15 years in various
newspapers, including The Windsor Star.
